I love to do feature style writing and reporting, as well as have a passion for video.

I currently reside in Nashville, TN, and have a broad range of skills including social media management, graphic design, website design, mass communications, branding, photography, and videography. Following graduation, my professional career began in television reporting in Meridian, MS, at Fox30 News before making my transition into Higher Education. In 2016, I pioneered the Sports Information/ Communications Specialist position at East Central Community College (ECCC) in Decatur, MS. In this role, I laid the foundation for ECCC’s athletic brand including website concept creation, marketing materials, social media creation, and photography/videography efforts for 10 intercollegiate sports.

Later I moved to Nashville looking for opportunities and joined the University Relations team at Fisk University. As the Communications & Digital Content Coordinator, I created written and visual communications for distribution, coordinated press coverage for university events, managed Fisk’s branding efforts, started the college’s rebranding efforts, and managed and updated the Fisk University homepage and website.

I am a graduate of The University of West Alabama (UWA) with a B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications. In 2012, I joined Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. I was crowned 2012-13 Miss University of West Alabama as a preliminary to compete in the Miss Alabama pageant and was the first African-American to do so. I have received awards from the Southeast Journalism Conference in TV feature reporting, public service journalism, special event reporting-editing, multimedia journalism, and TV news feature reporting. I was named 2015 UWA Broadcast Journalist of the Year. I continue to serve in my sorority, am a member of the praise and worship team for Spirit and Truth Believers Fellowship, and is a background vocalist for various local artists.
